The University of Edinburgh lies in Scotland, UK and its fundamental mission is the advancement and dissemination of knowledge and understanding.


Structure: The University has 21 Schools in three Colleges: Humanities & Social Science, Medicine & Veterinary Medicine, and Science & Engineering.


Associations The University of Edinburgh is a member of a number of prestigious national and international organisations. Among them:

  • Universitas 21, an international network of leading research-intensive universities.
  • Russell Group, an association of 19 major research-intensive universities from the UK.
  • LERU, the League of European Research Universities League of European Research Universities, an international network of leading research-intensive universities
